We get questions about printing to a Xerox printer or multifunction device from an Apple Mac with the Xerox Standard Accounting feature enabled. Let’s take a look at how to set up the Apple Mac driver and see if this will help answer some of those questions. Xerox Standard Accounting (XSA) tracks the numbers of copy, print, scan, and fax jobs for each user. You can set limits to restrict the total number of jobs by type that a user can produce. You can then generate reports listing usage data for individual users and groups. You can read more about Xerox Standard Accounting by following the.If the Xerox Standard Accounting (XSA) is enabled and the code is not entered in the print driver when a user prints, an error will be generated and the job will not print. This solution will provide the steps to enter the XSA code in the Mac print driver so a user may print without error.NOTE: The following steps assume that XSA is enabled and accounts have already been created.1.
Open file to be printed.2. Select File then Print.3. Select the Down arrow next to the “Copies & Pages” field to view the drop down menu.NOTE: If you do not see the “Copies & Pages” field click the Down arrow next to printer to expand that field.4.
Select Xerox Features button.5. Select the Down arrow next to the “Paper & Output” field.6. Select Advance from the drop down menu.7. In the Configuration area select the Accounting button.8. In the Accounting Setup field select Xerox Standard Accounting from the drop down menu.9. Input the user ID in the Default user ID field.10.

To save the settings Save As and name the preset, for example “Accounting”.When you print to your Xerox printer ensure that you always use these steps or the preset of Accounting or whatever you chose to name your preset. If not you will get an error stating that your job was deleted due to invalid accounting codes.Job Accounting is not supported by Xerox devices over AirPrint.I hope you find these instructions helpful. Remember you can search for additional information on the for your machine or for additional information.

Matt RuppFebruary 2, 2018-I just downloaded the latest Drivers for the C70 & C8045, same driver installer is used for both, Mac OS Common Print Driver Installer, version 4.9.0(1931) dated Jan 1 2018. And like the previous poster’s issue, under advanced there are the options There is not a button as shown above but there are options to select the type of Accounting, and to Always Prompt or Do Not Prompt.
So I set it to Xerox Standard Accounting and Do Not Prompt, but there is no field to enter the Code in the Advanced settings and no popup either. If I select “Always Prompt” and hit Print, there is no popup asking for the Code and of course either way, I get the error from the copier that an invalid accounting code was entered or the accounting code was missing. Panagiwtis KouvelasOctober 1, 2018-I have installed drivers in mac high sierra for my printer b7025. I have enable xerox standard accounting. I Have put the right codes and all the steps you refered before.
Frpom windows i print with no problem and accounting works fine. From mac although i have done the same steps it doesnt print and it prints report which says the usual invalid user. From other internet i tried to put the contivity protocol through IPP because airprint doesnt support it. I tried to set the setting from 32 bit program because scripts said wont work from 64 bit application. I tried all of this and yet i receive the same message form mac (invalid user) same time windows work just fine.
Many printers and scanners use driverless technologies such as AirPrint or IPP Everywhere, which don't require additional drivers on your Mac. But third-party drivers might still be available for older devices that do require a driver. Always before connecting the device to your Mac for the first time. If the appropriate driver is available from Apple, your Mac will install it automatically. This list is no longer updated. Many vendors of printers and scanners have adopted driverless technologies such as AirPrint, and they are no longer providing drivers for new devices. If your printer was made in the last several years, it probably doesn't require a driver. This list is provided for reference purposes and is no longer being updated.
